Hello all, I have been doing the straumann singles utilizing their scan bodies with my Preciso system. I now have been doing some bdg's and was wondering if their is a library for the cone shaped bdg/bar abut's? Thanks in advance!

Are you looking to make a screw retained zirconia implant bridge ontop of a straumann multibase/ multiunit abutment? If so we have those library files but need to know first exactly what you are trying to make.

Hello, I would love to know where we can get those libraries.

I use a lot of straumann veriobase tibases and in some cases the prostho want to have an engaging part and a non engaging part of a bridge. In this case I need to copy scan the cone or multi unit part. Then manual pisition the access hole.

I have tried to get our local supplier of straumann products in South Africa to get me the files but with no luck.

And the ones downloadable from their website only make provision for the variobase interface.

They have not released any files for bridge parts. They're keeping them for their straumann cares in-lab system....for the moment anyway

By keeping the files/libraries for themselves and prevent other companies who are committed to use authentic components for their implants placed, they are doing more danage than good... Copy scanning or using temp abutments to copyscan and use that in your final case, is criminal in my eyes.

I hope they open these libraries soon...

A pencil and a dream can take you anywhere

You would need to get the libraries form either the supplier of the implant parts or the distributor of the equipment,

yes, I am looking for the libraries for the non engaging cones for RC and NC Bone level...I have to copy scan for now and that is not as accurate.

Straumann is a bit weird, I got a IOS scan in last week with their scan locator on for a bone level restoration.

So of course I can do the case modeless but dr wanted a printed model. So I search and search for their repositional analog and some sort of DME with it digitized so I can use all of Straumann's components. Well of course there isn't one as far as I can tell. So I had to reconstruct a library with their locator and linked it to the NT trading analog so I could print things up. Such a PITA.

How is everyone else doing it?

Pretty much the same way. Mix and match libraries to make it happen.

So my question, is why have a digital part if there isn't a library for it? I know they have an analog for printed models???

Maybe its only available on their scanning system???

Just a control point to make you play their games.

John, are you on 3Shape or Exocad?

We haven't tried it yet but I was told that there is a option in Modelbuilder for their analog in 2015.6.1. You build the model with virtual analog, model get printed and you glue Straumann analog in. Our Straumann Dr. hasn't been able to export the case into our inbox yet so I can't confirm this workflow, directions came from a tech support call.

I do not think this is for the repositional analog but for the standard and the indexing is not great. I will check it out to make certain with a test file. Thanks for the heads up

The only reason I say this is when I go through the stl's there is not a digitized "repositional" analog that I can find in the sys files.

I thought I just read a thread regarding straumann dim models and they just launched it, I might be wrong but as far as I know they do not. I give my doc nt trading marker to get the model mad then scan oem markers on them to get people abutments. A bit longer but hey it works.

Yeah they do have a DIM system and it is with the re-positional analogue. We have printed a few of them...and ironed out the bugs with them...they're working well now.
I have to give Straumann credit for being where they are with digital options.
